Frank Lloyd Wright

Frank Lloyd Wright is one of my favourite architects. To design a home that melds with Nature is a beautiful thing. Fallingwater in southern Pennsylvania was designed for department store magnat, Edgar Kaufmann. It is open for tours and what a tour it must be! Here's a little tour for us...
(all photos via Fallingwater unless otherwise noted)

To the surprise of Kaufmann, the house was built over the falls.

Landscape Design

I have this thing for garden plans; John Brooke, be still my heart. I know you can do this with any landscape software, but its the watercolour artistry that I love. What could be nicer than having a watercolour of your (hired or self-designed) garden to frame on your wall. For example,

Donna Andreyckuk

Now and then you come across an artist that speaks your lingo. As I am already missing the lazy days at the cottage, Donna Andreychuk's language and art has got me yearning. I would love these paintings to grace my walls. Here's why:

Ralph Lauren

Don't you think it should be Sir Ralph by now? It is no secret: he is my favourite designer. Here is a couple shots from two of his new collections: The Heiress and Brook Street (you'll be able to tell the difference).
