I know I have mentioned this before a couple years back, but wouldn't this make a lovely basement bedroom (or above ground)?

YAY!!! We passed the Committee of Adjustment from the City to allow for slightly more coverage on our lot and a side yard stairwell to the basement, which is not only very handy, but allows for lots of light to come in. YAY!!!

So here's what it looks like with the colouring of this Chris Parrott home:

My only conundrum, is what to choose for the siding around the 2nd floor window. There is stone and cedar. I'm thinking this should be stone too. Any thoughts???

And then for the Landscaping: I'm a bit of a formal lass in the garden, growing out of my English Cottage phase, and am leaning towards this...

Garden Ideas

Getting close to moving-out-temporarily day and I really should be getting moving quotes. Instead I am confounded on what to do with the backyard. There will be an iron fence to match our neighbours, but I need a focal point, something lovely to gaze at from the deck.
