Snowstorm

This is coming our way...
The big blue thing is the colossal snowstorm coming to bury us! It used to be you just wake up and deal with the day. Now we get to stress over what might be. Or prepare for what may come our way or may blow right on by us (I hope so!). So hubby cleared a spot in our garage (the last of our unpacking) and I just back my car in. I LOVE that whatever happens, my car will be not so cold and definitely clear of ice and snow. I don't think I have ever fit a car into any garage we've had. The previous home's single garages were always filled with STUFF. Now I realize I may never get my car out of said garage. That's why hubby is driving me to work tomorrow in his truck - handy to have 4x4 now and then.
Keep warm and safe everyone!!!

New Rue

The New Rue is out and after having a coffee and a luxurious browse through their new beautiful issue, I ventured further afield on their site, under Gallery, and discovered photos saved by room! Here are some ideas from their Details page:

Happy Sunday everyone!

Ralph Lauren

A Trad girl's dreamboy, Ralph Lauren, epitomizes style, grace, taste and luxury. But here is no showhome. The pictures below are via the February issue of Architectural Digest. This is RL new store in Manhattan. Everything here would work out magnificently in a very nice home.

First of all, the white marble entrance and staircase flanked by the wrought iron black railing and accented with the iron lantern and black & white artwork are stark, elegant, clean and yet, traditional.

Den for men, I think not! A perfect space for both men & women (I may change the roses to pink!).

Now, it's looking like a shop, but here's the other view of the staircase (note mannequins replace the vase with twigs).

Books are always the best design accessory!

Not sure what I like the most the ottoman or the dress sitting on it! Hats off Mr Lauren! After all these years, you can still deliver exquisite dreams!
